What a good Task 2 answer needs
Students should read the question carefully, identify the task type, choose a clear position and support ideas with relevant examples. Strong essays are not memorised paragraphs; they are focused answers to the exact question.
- Underline the instruction words before planning
- Write a short plan with two main ideas
- Use clear topic sentences for each body paragraph
- Develop examples without going off topic
- Leave time to check grammar, articles, spelling and linking words
Recommended practice plan
Write one timed essay, review it against task response, coherence, vocabulary and grammar, then rewrite the weakest paragraph. Trainer feedback is useful because students often repeat the same error pattern without noticing it.
